This is a simple recipe that I found on another forum.

1/2c. soy sauce
1/2c. sugar
1 minced garlic clove
2tsp. minced ginger
2Tbs. mirin
1/2tsp. cornstarch

Mix the mirin and the cornstarch together until smooth. Everything goes into a small saucepan - bring to boil then reduce to medium low and simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened and syrupy.

Ingredients

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons sweet rice wine
1 tablespoon, plus 2 teaspoons brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons minced ginger
To make sauce Combine ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. or if u want a To make glaze: Mix 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water. Heat sauce on medium high heat and add cornstarch water mixture. Simmer until thickened

heres another 1 thats diffrent that my friend at my house right now says he uses
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Japanese shoyu (soy sauce)
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup Mirin
1/2 cup Sake
DIRECTIONS
Mix soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and sake together in a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, reduce to a simmer, and cook until thickened enough to coat a spoon, about 20 minutes.
