This is at the community college I took a few classes at about 2 miles down the road from me. We heard the news and thought it was a student doing the shooting at the school with the initial reports. Turns out to not be the case.

ARLINGTON, Texas -
Officers shot a suspect Thursday following an incident that ended in one of the parking lots of the Tarrant County College Southeast Campus.

It began around 4:30 p.m. with Grand Prairie police officers chasing several felony theft suspects outside the Target store along Highway 360 near Camp Wisdom Road.

One of the suspects then ran to the campus on Southeast Parkway.

Officers reportedly got into a fight with him in the parking lot. One officer who feared for his life fired a fatal shot.

The suspect who died was identified as 22-year-old Jordan Hatcher of Mansfield.

Police said no officers were hurt, and the campus was never placed on lockdown.
