I tried a Falafel (Spelling?) at an art festival last weekend. I was trying to impress this hippie-type woman i took there. Apparently Falafel is mushed up-deep fried chickpea balls. I did not know this.
"Oh yeah, I've totally eaten Falafel before. Love the stuff."
I should have noticed that something was amiss when the stand was "Vegan", but i didn't notice the sign behind the lady making the Falafel. The exchange of words was awkward.
"Hello sir, what can i get you?"
"Uhh.. does Falafel have steak in it or anything?"
"No sir, we only serve vegan food"
"oh, ok. chicken then?"
Hippie-woman shook her head disapprovingly.
God, I'm smooth.
But on topic: it tasted pretty good. I think it had kale, cucumber, peach, carrot, and hot sauce on it. So maybe try making falafel?
